“So, Mr O’Sharke, would you like to tell us about what you did to calm down after the altercation with von Dougsoc?”
Ah. So, as you may have heard, after my, ahem, discussion with Mr von Dougsoc at the start of the evening, I left to cool down. As a shark, I decided that a brief swim in Europe's third-largest plastic bottomed lake would be adequate. So I traversed the corridor down to the lake. Mr von Dougsoc, I recall, went in the other direction, through Derwent. I then had a pleasant time - I bumped into Mr Boi, who was rather rude, but had cordial interactions with the rest of the ducks. While in the lake, I did see Mr von Dougsoc heading towards D-Bar at this time, but I had returned by the time he left.
"Do you know what time you came back to the party?"
Yes. I recall that I glanced at the computer when I came in. It was 19:53.
"Could you tell us about any other comings and goings from D/L/036?"
Around 5 minutes after I arrived, Mr Daddy came back from wherever he had got to, bringing a few drinks with him. I have not left the room since. I didn't care to talk to him or Ms McGraw. We have some unfortunate histories that I did not care to rehash. After the exhausting discussion with Mr von Dougsoc, I wanted a relaxing evening, so I spent the most of rest of it with Eevil. When they left briefly at the end of the night to go to the lavatory, I did discuss a few things with Mr Daddy, but Eevil cam back only 5 minutes later.
Additionally, while Eevil was out, I know that Ms McGraw went to get ice cream. The machine is very loud and hard to miss from the room.
"Do you know of any reason at all why you, or another suspect may have committed the murder?"
Ahem. Though I dislike the... directness of your question, Ms Dash, von Dougsoc was a man who invited trouble. His wealth, gained long ago, always brought more complications than it was really worth. He built up debts from losing solitaire games. He had many romantic partners, rarely able to stay with them for much time. He even mentioned recently, after a particularly intense game that brought us level in the local league, that he had considered changing aspects of his will to reflect his current friendships. Though the action is shocking, I would not put it beyond any of Ms McGraw, Mr Daddy or even the young Master von Dougsoc to want the elder dead, though it is terrible to say it.
